評分##斷斷續續讀瞭得有一年多，比【TheHobbit】難啃得多…電影霍比特人大做加法，指環王倒是做瞭不少減法，Tom Bombadil的部分減瞭不可惜，這個設定太神秘，應該跟原始的自然崇拜有關，屬於意象化的存在。不過原著結局的夏爾之戰比電影收尾得好，Frodo的離開也增添瞭些許現實主義悲情和理想主義溫情。且電影結局一改，Saruman隻能提前告彆…中土是托老的烏托邦，精靈一族無疑是理想的化身，矮人、半獸人、巫師以及騎士也都呈現著托老對現實的觀測和體認，而霍比特人更像是史詩中的童話：他們的缺點和優點都很明顯，危機來襲時責任會讓他們走齣保守的安全區，好奇心會讓他們拯救世界並迴歸傢園。史詩的基調屬於日耳曼係，古老的世界觀中隱隱透露著先民們對自然的推崇，索倫的黑暗喻指倒有點影射工業文明的摧毀和破壞。
