Katagiri returns home to find a giant frog in his apartment on a mission to save Tokyo from a massive burrowing worm. 'When he gets angry, he causes earthquakes,' says Frog. 'And right now he is very, very angry'.

##看瞭看上次的標記，已經距離第一次讀過去瞭快十年瞭。真是可怕。其實村上的短故事比他的長篇文學性要好。他長篇真的掌控不好符號的結構和故事的推進。倒是短篇最後的反轉永遠特彆帥氣。

##雖然寫的故事不算幸福，但是整體給人感覺卻很溫暖。其實還是很上進的。

##真的是就怕貨比貨，同時在讀科塔薩爾，都是爵士愛好者，差距咋就這麼大呢，當然這本即使比村上自己的《盲女睡柳》那個集子也是差瞭一大截太多刻意經營的成分不過有幾篇的中心意象還是不錯的，比如搖鈴做愛(躲熊)，海邊燃起的篝火，月下起舞，夢見可以祛除心魔的蛇，最後兩篇彆人說好，我反而無感

##為瞭上課，又讀瞭一遍

村上的after the quake裏六篇short story，兩篇發在紐約客，發在格蘭塔雜誌的Thailand不知道為什麼覺得很是特彆，但最喜歡的還是那篇發在GQ的青蛙君拯救東京。跑步時一直在想super frog saves tokyo這個短故事。之所以喜歡這隻青蛙，不僅因為他引用尼采和陀斯妥耶夫斯基，更因為它慈悲。當katagiri這個四十歲的loser說自己隻是eat，sleep，shit時，青蛙君說瞭讓人感動的話：整個東京隻有你纔能幫我，我就是要拯救像你這樣的人。這大緻是蛋與牆的主題瞭。即便覺得自己活得豬狗不如、瞭無生趣、一生也就這樣瞭，青蛙還是惦記著你，拼死也要拯救你，即便你從來不知道有這樣一隻青蛙拯救瞭世界。
