《錢鍾書英文文集》收錄瞭一代宗師錢鍾書先生的英文作品24篇，其中含錢鍾書牛津大學學士論文，曾經刊載在《天下月刊》、《中國評論傢》、《書林季刊》等英文雜誌上的小品等。內容多涉及中國古典文學與西方古典文學的比較與研究，具有很高的學術價值。隨錄還收錄瞭錢鍾書先生極其珍貴的書信和演說辭，充分凸現瞭錢鍾書先生的學術思想及人格魅力。

作者簡介

錢鍾書(1910．11．21-1998年12月19日)字默存，號槐聚。江蘇無锡人。早年就讀於教會辦的蘇州桃塢中學和無锡仁中學。1933年於清華大學外國語文係畢業後，在上海光華大學任教。1935年與楊縧結婚，同赴英國留學。1937年畢業於英國牛津大學，獲副博士學位。又赴法國巴黎大學進修法國文學。1938年鞦歸國，先後任昆明西南聯大外文係教授、湖南藍田國立師範學院英文係主任。1941年迴傢探親時，因淪陷而羈居上海，寫瞭長篇小說《圍城》和短篇小說集《人.獸.鬼》。《圍城》已有英、法、德、俄、日、西語譯本。散文大都收入《寫在人生邊上》—書。《談藝錄》是一部具有開創性的中西比較詩論。與此同時，他在上海暨南大學、中央圖書館和清華大學執教或任職。1953年後，在北京大學文學研究所任研究員。所著多捲本《管錐編》，對中國著名的經史子古籍進行考釋，並從中西文化和文學的比較上闡發、辨析。現任中國社會科學院副院長。
