##一個讀來甚至覺得難以置信的故事,Tara能夠依靠自己的力量掙脫原生傢庭的泥潭變成一個那麼優秀的學者真的太不容易瞭。我覺得即便是到瞭現在,相信這種經曆帶給她的夢魘肯定還會時不時竄齣來。極端的父親可以一韆次把希望撲滅,但卻依舊會被Tara在chapel裏的歌聲打動,在Tara去英國的時候說如果去瞭大洋彼岸就不能開車把你接迴來。Shawn會在Tara差點因為付不起學費drop out的時候給她經濟支援。關於自我覺醒的力量。作者還是比較冷靜地來敘述自己的經曆,其實文筆談不上有多齣色。

評分##16/02/2020-28/02/2020 幸運的人,一生都被童年治愈;不幸的人,一生都在治愈童年。作者顯然是後者。讀第一部分的時候因為書評的“劇透"我還是抱著獵奇摩門教奇怪教義的心態來看的,待讀到第三部分時,獵奇的心理已經被為作者感到痛苦,憤怒,委屈等一係列情感所替代瞭。近些年談得很多的原生傢庭問題,在這本書中又因為宗教的原因使得作者的傢庭情況更為復雜,而作者把在對抗過程中所經曆的苦痛化為力量,以宗教背後的曆史與文化為課題,在學術方麵取得瞭成就,真的是一位堅強又齣色的女性。

評分##花瞭近一個月、終於讀完瞭,真好看啊!! 作者的語言太美瞭,故事更是驚人。雖然時常聽到對真實性的懷疑,但我個人對其沒有異見。在我看來,她的敘述太有力量瞭,這種力量,隻能來自於親身經曆後的痛徹心扉。
