作者簡介

James Ward Brown，密歇根大學迪爾伯恩分校數學係榮休教授，美國數學會會士，入編《美國名人錄》和《世界名人錄》。1964年於密歇根大學獲得博士學位，1971年至2011年任密歇根大學教授，並於 1976年獲得密歇根大學傑齣教學奬。



Ruel V. Churchill(1899—1987 )生前是密歇根大學知名教授，於芝加哥大學取得理學學士學位，於密歇根大學取得物理學碩士及數學博士學位，自1922年起在密歇根大學執教。他從20世紀40年代開始 編寫一係列經典教材，除本書外，還與James Ward Rrown閤著有《Fourier Series and Boundary Value Problems》。
