評分人物性格塑造得很鮮明,戲劇的題目直接道齣瞭主人公的處境,而作者又沒有賦予瞭其過多的對白,沒有詳細點明她的處境如何,反而是用他人來襯托她,慢慢讀下去,maggie的性格就都呈現齣來瞭。
評分##還是更喜歡《欲望》,那部裏麵衝突的核心沒有這裏具象化,可能我更喜歡戲劇裏那種個人或某一特殊群體的絕境吧。Brick有點讓我想起Hemingway那些主人公,the additional charm of that cool air of detachment that people who have gicen up the struggle, 不過他是被動的。包括Maggie the cat,這部是關於一種焦灼,從現實來的脅迫感。

Liquor is one way out and death is the other." 兩個版本的結局我都挺喜歡的,田納西原版的結尾Brick的反問有一種很無奈的悲傷,可能觀眾更多的是同情Brick;百老匯版的結尾是Maggie走投無路的哀求,就像a cat on a hot tin roof,就像田納西自己記錄的導演Kazan提的建議"...the character of Margaret...should be, if possible, more clearly sympathetic to an audience."田納西真的很會寫傢庭成員之間的緊張和矛盾關係,個人覺得比奧尼爾要好很多。
