In the ashes of a dying world, Red finds a letter marked “Burn before reading. Signed, Blue.”
So begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents in a war that stretches through the vast reaches of time and space.
Red belongs to the Agency, a post-singularity technotopia. Blue belongs to Garden, a single vast consciousness embedded in all organic matter. Their pasts are bloody and their futures mutually exclusive. They have nothing in common—save that they’re the best, and they’re alone.

##hmmmm最後圓的還是有些cliche 但是這也太浪漫瞭吧！【I sought loneliness when I was young. But when I think of you, I want to be alone together】【I want to scorch the thousand earths between us to see what blooms from the ash, so we can discover it hand in hand, content in context, intelligible only to each other. 評分##比起說這是一本科幻書，更像是一本情書散文書。一開始讀的時候滿頭霧水，抱著一直想要放棄的心情讀下去，後麵越來越好看。奇妙地用歌名、十六進製顔色、燃燒顔色對應自己愛人的元素、石頭、花朵、蝴蝶、土著語、書名、諺語等來稱呼自己的愛人。在時間綫之間的穿梭與因果修改，有種拉普拉斯妖的感覺。記得裏麵提及的時間綫有——圓明園、瘟疫對印加帝國的影響、Bess of Cavendish、神秘博士、貿易變動對明朝匯率的影響、亞特蘭蒂斯、林則徐、鄭成功……但是，再次提醒下，這是一本關於愛情的書。

評分##把三流科幻故事寫成愛情小說就能得到質的提升，也不怪我注意力全被Blue信件齣現的方式和二位的情話抓住。真的很好奇這個故事的熒幕化呈現，在我整個閱讀過程中她們都沒有想象的實體，我好恨。這句“That's all I want now. A small place, a dog, green grass. To touch your hand.”簡直my girl內心獨白投射。不過我們無需像firefighter和fire starter那樣捕食對方。my blue說不需要拜倫式的愛情。
評分##把信刻在一圈圈的樹木年輪裏，藏在呼嘯撕扯的狂風中，在血腥腐爛的戰場上丟下一張奶油色的信紙，在咕咕冒泡的水分子中沸騰齣奚落與嘲笑……不能讓你的形象留在我身體中哪怕一絲一毫的縴維裏，就讓心中萬物幻化交融成你，很難說這種愛慕有什麼意義。而更難說的是，對在時間綫中踱步、相抗、共舞的她們而言，不這樣相愛有什麼意義？
評分##之前看到有人說書裏短暫的討論瞭明朝時候銀幣短缺的後果還有林某人虎門銷煙等等的這麼個time travel故事 看簡介又紅又藍的雙方也以為會有些什麼政治上的隱喻 實在是大大的誤解 本質上是個YA愛情故事 雖然寫的很poetic (可能因為是書信體 感覺故事發展略..choppy(? 當然也可能是本人水平不夠不懂欣賞這種意識流
評分##為啥這麼低額。。。寫得太好瞭，尤其是blue明知每一行字都是poison但還是義無反顧地把信讀完的時候，簡直催淚炸彈。結局部分本來覺得說時間綫是有一點點paradoxical的，但是就是這樣莫比烏斯環一樣的糾纏不清，纔使得blue和red成為彼此的innate hunger，真正的靈魂共振。
評分##讀一半就能猜齣劇情 書信裏描述的半吊子世界觀讓人沒頭沒腦；雖然書信感人 但不是都因為愛情願意為對方犧牲自己瞭嗎 女主之一又有瞭老公什麼鬼。。。很失望
