In the ashes of a dying world, Red finds a letter marked “Burn before reading. Signed, Blue.”
So begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents in a war that stretches through the vast reaches of time and space.
Red belongs to the Agency, a post-singularity technotopia. Blue belongs to Garden, a single vast consciousness embedded in all organic matter. Their pasts are bloody and their futures mutually exclusive. They have nothing in common—save that they’re the best, and they’re alone.

评分##《手把手教你如何写情书》。很散漫的故事结构，与其说是科幻不如是奇幻。过于跳跃的时间线加上略意识流的写作很难让我沉浸其中，被交口称赞的“浪漫”也在这种情况下显得easy and cheap了，不过在看到 “I hope you won’t mind my feeling a little proud of you for such a magnificent betrayal.”这句的时候还是被惊艳了一下。

评分##我本来都已经打算开始啃英文了，结果居然被我找到了翻译版。这本书太浪漫了，这种形式的科幻小说真的是第一次见，很不错。
评分##把三流科幻故事写成爱情小说就能得到质的提升，也不怪我注意力全被Blue信件出现的方式和二位的情话抓住。真的很好奇这个故事的荧幕化呈现，在我整个阅读过程中她们都没有想象的实体，我好恨。这句“That's all I want now. A small place, a dog, green grass. To touch your hand.”简直my girl内心独白投射。不过我们无需像firefighter和fire starter那样捕食对方。my blue说不需要拜伦式的爱情。
评分##把信刻在一圈圈的树木年轮里，藏在呼啸撕扯的狂风中，在血腥腐烂的战场上丢下一张奶油色的信纸，在咕咕冒泡的水分子中沸腾出奚落与嘲笑……不能让你的形象留在我身体中哪怕一丝一毫的纤维里，就让心中万物幻化交融成你，很难说这种爱慕有什么意义。而更难说的是，对在时间线中踱步、相抗、共舞的她们而言，不这样相爱有什么意义？
