France, 1939 - In the quiet village of Carriveau, Vianne Mauriac says goodbye to her husband, Antoine, as he heads for the Front. She doesn't believe that the Nazis will invade France … but invade they do, in droves of marching soldiers, in caravans of trucks and tanks, in planes that fill the skies and drop bombs upon the innocent. 評分##1.5/5 乏善可陳，劇情、人設太好猜幾乎每個情節都被猜到。結局果不其然有轉摺，問題是這個轉摺也被我猜到瞭。另外全書充滿中産階級式的諂媚，恨不得把“我有檔次”這句話寫臉上。最後盡管作者是女性，主角也是女性，但是對女性心理描寫像個直男寫的。
