##Learned a lot. Sam Harris的文字很有灵气，相比之下他无比monotone的声音要逊色许多。「We are always and everywhere in the presence of reality. The human mind is the most complex and subtle expression of reality we have thus far encountered.」
评分##这本书清楚地向受西式教育的人解释了佛教的基本教义，即意识与思想是分开的，思想受制于环境，是暂时的，而意识是恒常的对宇宙的自觉。我们错误地把两者等同起来，从而执着于一个被环境绑架的自我。而觉悟就是分开两者，打破自我的幻象，获得自由。不敢相信我真的是到今天才知道佛教在说什么。。。
评分##我读完觉得整本书就在强调冥想是为了消除“自我”这个幻象，顺便了解了一下一些关于大脑的知识，附带关于致幻剂对大脑的作用和对灵修师傅的批判……就是觉得内容有点杂乱吧
评分##英文版虽难读，但对比中文版，有的地方却更容易理解…文中有一些非常精彩的类比，将“开悟/无我”描写得非常可以想象…是的，无论多清楚的描述，目前的我也只能想象。上海图书馆参考借阅可直接拿到原版，值得一读。
评分##就…遣词造句过于艰深（掉书袋），让我第一遍艰难啃完后想再回头把前三章再精读一遍的决心都在第二章耗费完了…内容是好的，不过这是我从Vipassana回来后才读的就没有太多的新鲜感。看到@学霸猫 已经把此书翻译成中文了，希望有机会读读看阅读体验是否更好。
评分##Parts of it are not as easy to grasp. I also got the audio-book and I overlapped reading and listening on certain sections in order to better absorb the content. A refreshing and interesting exposition into metaphysical topics of consciousness and self. Sam Harris is always stimulating.

评分##大神sam harris再次贡献一出火力全开，醍醐灌顶之作。对伊斯兰持之以恒的鄙视，对大乘佛教和冥想孜孜不倦的敬崇贯穿全书。the state of having no head, the mind can be split by a knife等等金字缎句贯穿始终。是的，人作为哺乳动物最基本的哲学觉醒便是意识到自己不过是滚滚红尘中的一粒不起眼的白沙罢了
