上学的时候买了毕业生的盗版一大厚本，看了一个暑假。看完感觉到很震撼，疯狂习惯这本书，试着读过电子版的英文原版，还是有好多理解上的差异。一个字体一般，行间距有些紧凑，希望不会看串行。

西周时期是中华传统文化形成的重要奠基期，周文王、周武王、周公等在中国历史中具有极高的地位，受到历代的推崇，直至今日。对于西周时期的历史文化发展，是有志于了解中国文化的人所当知晓的。由于西周时期存世文献不多，且大多经过后世的编选和修订，因此对西周历史的研究是比较困难的，综合性的研究也不是很多。杨宽先生的《西周史》记述了西周时期二百八十年的历史发展过程，是对西周历史较全面的研究，也是20世纪这一领域研究的集大成之作。其中的许多研究思路、方法、结论，到今天仍具有不可磨灭的参考价值。尤其是对于西周以礼制为核心的政治文化的详细梳理，得到举世关注。从中我们也可以理解中华文化是如何形成的，对今天我们继承中华文化优秀传统，从中汲取历史智慧具有重要的作用。
