马德琳·米勒（MadelineMiller，1978.7.24-）
作家、教师、莎士比亚戏剧导演。
1978年出生于波士顿，在纽约和费城长大，就读于布朗大学，获得古典文学学士和硕士学位。曾在芝加哥大学和耶鲁大学戏剧学院学习，在那里，她专注于研究如何使经典文本以现代形式改编。在过去的十五年里，她一直在教高中生拉丁语、希腊语和莎士比亚戏剧。

##好好看！几年前在上coursera的《奥德赛》的时候，就特别喜欢Calypso和Circe。“她注定会爱上每一个经过的男人，但他们都不得不离开。” 这本书又把希腊神话知识给我巩固了一遍，很棒很棒。
评分 评分 评分 评分 评分##永恒只会让你变成疯子，狠狠抓着流失的东西哀鸣，而凡人却可以因生命的短暂而珍惜生活。看这本书就明白无论多么有文化有文采，当你的生活一成不变时，你写出来的东西有多幼稚。幼稚地去妄想所有的神（除了你的主角）都是疯子，妄想自己一直在给予获不得回报，妄想一个千年生命的女神最在意的和青春期少女无他。作者应该写mortals的故事而不是神，因为短板很明显。文笔还是不错偶有佳句。后四分之一才有点好看，前四分之三写来完全浪费时间。
评分##Circe/Kirke原本在神话里就是一个另类的存在，Olympian众神本来就孩子气得要命（不然Athena为什么会为了Paris选Aphrodite而毁了特洛伊），而且离荷马史诗过了两千多年，很难有新梗，老剧情也快被抄烂了。所以这本可以说是个不可多得的新说了。不懂为什么豆瓣评分这么低，大概是希腊神话普及率不是很高？
