##迴憶好友Roger Deakin，講到他去世後，他的農莊依然會收到來自世界各地遊泳愛好者的信件，或是邀請他一同遊泳，或是同他分享自己私藏的遊泳據點，令人動容。最喜歡的幾個詞： riggwelter: 四腳朝天，因為羊毛太重站不起來的羊兒 (Cumbria); al’mark: 屢屢擅闖莊稼地的動物；擅自翻越籬笆的羊(Shetland); maumble: 挖土時頑固地附著在鐵鍬上的濕土(Northamptonshire); dwarf money / fairy dart: 犁地時翻齣來的硬幣(Herefordshire); wigging: 將眼睛附近的羊毛剃去，以防羊毛遮蔽視綫(Cumbria); moocher: 留在地裏再次發芽的土豆(Herefordshire). 《輞川集》。

本質上算是書評的閤集。。作者真是安利一手好書，默默把每個章節提到的書目加進購物車點下瞭購買鍵。。18年也計劃看完他的心靈之山和古道。17年度最佳，閱讀時感受到一種久違的幸福。作者對動詞形容詞有著驚人的駕馭能力，感受到語言的邊界被一點點拓寬的過程，感受到人的精神與自然景物之間那些不可言說的生存體驗得以澄明。讀完悵然若失。。
