A dentist lies murdered at his Harley Street practice...The dentist was found with a blackened hole below his right temple. A pistol lay on the floor near his outflung right hand. Later, one of his patients was found dead from a lethal dose of local anaesthetic. A clear case of murder and suicide. But why would a dentist commit a crime in the middle of a busy day of appointments? A shoe buckle holds the key to the mystery. ##早先讀過中文版，居然已經不記得劇情，也不記得凶手是誰。可見這本書——太復雜，太多旁支錯節，有故弄玄虛之嫌。
評分##2008.7.10 事到如今，居然一點都想不起來這本書是講什麼的。就記得那個女人是怎麼死的。——寫到這裏，我用力想瞭一下，又想起來瞭：嗯，也是有點政治陰謀論。我建議書的標題改為：投資銀行傢之死。
