When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, she just thinks he has gone off by himself for a few days - as he has done before - and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home.
But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realises. ##第一本不是特别有吸引力，可是JKR的书，还是一定要读呀。 这一本，怎么说呢，还是有些刻意呀。两位主角准备什么时候在一起呀？
评分##HP系列之后，J.K.的第一本化名作品实在读不下去，现在开始尝试第二本.// 03.05读完，花了两周左右的地铁通勤时间。JK写出版界的谋杀案也真是适合她，叙事功力和人物描摹真是一流的。分分钟改编成电视剧的节奏。
