When George swallows a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, a trip to the hospital is in order. George doesn’t much enjoy the hospital—that is, until he’s feeling better. 作者简介

Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

The story is rather long for young readers, and somewhat old-fashioned in writing style, but the entertainment value has not lessened despite its age. The book is newly released with an audio CD that contains two versions of the narrated story, one with page-turn signals and one without, which provides a new way for readers to enjoy a classic character in action. A useful addition to the early elementary classroom, whether it be on the bookshelf, as part of a listening center, or just to play aloud for the class as a group. 但是书只放在书橱上是一种形式，藏在内心里，藏在脑海中，然后运用于工作、生活才能称得上是真正的藏书。说白了藏书其实就是在储备知识与快乐，书应该是越读越薄的，把从书中得来的越来越多知识合理的释放出来，才是我们买书、读书、藏书的真实目的。

读书可以分两种，一种是读有实用性的书，多是为了应付考试的那种；另一种是只为慰藉心灵，寻得精神享受的书，而我说的读书是指后一种的闲书。喜欢读书的人，一定把读书当成一种兴趣与习惯，他也一定是一个乐读者，如果三日不读书就衍生日子苍白，心灵空虚、知识匮乏之感，如同吸烟者犯了烟瘾般的痛苦。
