5星的绘本。第二级别延续了Step 1的大字印刷风格，图片与单词的一一对应有利于孩子们对生词的理解。文中包含基本的词汇以及短句，故事情节简单有趣，很多单词都是孩子们认识的，而另外一些生词的含义是需要这些小读者们自己去体会的。鼓励孩子们利用图片的提示以及对于故事情节的理解对生词的含义有一个概念。指导孩子们学写自己的名字或者其他的词，比如妈妈、爸爸、小狗、小猫等等；并鼓励孩子们在书中找到这些词。
