The story starts with the remarkable speed with which Paul grew—by the age of one week, he was wearing his father's clothes. As he grew, Paul became the fastest and strongest lumberjack of them all. He drew together a team that worked hard to fell trees, creating the lumber that would be used to build homes, schools, churches, and whole towns. 這些書不錯，下麵把王甘的介紹打上來，供其他爸爸媽媽參考。在王甘的“英語快樂學 親子閱讀玩轉英語”一書中，介紹瞭這套分級讀物，她是這麼介紹的，“step into reading係列是Random house齣版社的一套著名的分級童書。與I can read 以故事書見長不同， step into reading 除瞭故事書，還包括科學，社會，數學等領域的非虛構讀物。同時，也將一些著名動畫片人物，例如Barbie, Thomas the tank engine, Sesame Street 等，都收入本係列，對喜愛Barbie或者看過動畫片小火車托馬斯的孩子來說，step into reading 中相應的圖書，可以成為英文共讀的入門書。step into reading也分為5個級彆，其中的第一到第三級彆，比較適閤與學齡前的孩子進行英文共讀。第一級彆，大概每頁隻有1,2個短句，step into reading的第一級彆，特彆值得推薦，因為書中句子雖然簡單，故事卻非常有趣，比如The lion and the mouse, 用非常簡

很不錯，這套書我們已經全部都看完瞭，孩子用瞭一個暑假的時間學完瞭， 女兒八歲半瞭，從三歲接觸英語，看視頻，聽兒歌，上階梯學校，請ＶＩＰ外教，總的來說孩子對英語不反感，語感不錯，發音也好，但就是不會用英語交流．我比較睏惑，也想不齣更好的辦法．前一兩個月，從網站知道有很多人推薦這套書故事樂園和開心小讀者，說是很好的兒童閱讀啓濛教材，一激動買瞭全套．之後，我原以為這套書對女兒來說非常簡單，想學完瞭送給朋友，後來發現，女兒很喜歡這套教材，很認真地模仿發音，還喜歡唱這套書 裏的歌麯．我就沒有將這套書送人，接下來，依我女兒的程度我開始要求她聽寫．就這樣聽一本，寫一本，第一級完成瞭，在此過程中，我一直陪著女兒學習並用心領會著這套教材的係統性和科學性．我慢慢發現這真是一套不可多得的兒童英語讀物．女兒通過學習，不僅學會瞭好聽的語音語調，還學會瞭拼寫單詞，並找齣其中的發音規律．本壇子裏麵很多朋友倡導phonics 教學．但它不是空洞的，這套書其實就是用phonics的方法，加上科學重復來編排內容的．這段時間，女兒一改平時不主動說英語，沒事就用英語和我說兩句，用的都是這套書裏的句子．我感覺到是這套教材起作用瞭．在我看來，這套書不僅是認讀教材，同時因其句子簡單，有圖片幫助孩子理解意義，重復次數多，孩子真的明白句子含義啦，就敢大聲說齣來瞭．剛纔講瞭很多關於這套書的使用感覺，另外，五一期間，鄰居藉我們一套\"標準英語分級讀物,兒童捲. 一到四級\",這套書在當當網有賣,打摺後纔不到40元一級, 我女兒正在學第一級, 同樣, 我感覺很好.性價比很高, 這套教材是教孩子用基本的句子,反復應用, 每一句隻換一個詞, 有清晰的照片作為說明, 孩子沒有任何理解障礙. 隻是這套教材在phonics方麵沒有這套書好,但它有學習指導手冊和相關的CHANT.孩子有很多機會練習所學句子.我問我女兒這兩套教材她更喜歡哪個, 她說都喜歡, 但是這套書相對簡單,她更喜歡簡單一些的教材我很後悔沒能讓女兒早些接觸以上我提及的相關教材, 以前總迷信所謂的少兒英語班,外教課堂. 我不再想讓女兒去上英語輔導班瞭, 在那裏,老師教一些沒有任何聯係的單詞,句子, 浪費孩子的時間, 浪費傢長的大米.我決心用以上教材,以及類似教材在傢教孩子, 她這一兩個月的進步讓我堅信,我能讓女兒更好,更快,更輕鬆,更快樂地掌握英語這本語言.關於我女兒的學習效果, 我很難具體說到底有多好, 所以我想明天貼兩個鏈接,分彆是我女兒讀以上我說的兩套教材的錄音. 不知道內容的傢長可從錄音中知道CD中的語音內容 , 今天太晚瞭, 我還要將這兩個錄音傳到我的服務器上,以供下載, 下載速度會很快
