　　第二节 12个改错技巧

　　技巧1 从语篇的角度判断逻辑衔接词是否有误

　　由于改错采用短文的形式，在具体语境或上下文中灵活运用语法和词汇知识的能力就显得尤为重要。因此，考生要增强语篇意识，把握语篇结构的特点，从篇章的角度对句子、段落进行深入透彻的理解，把局部含义与文章的主旨大意结合起来判断，从而提高判断的准确性。

　　完整的篇章中，主从句之间、句与句之间、段落之间都是衔接的。衔接词包括连词、连接性副词和部分介词，常见的如下：

　　◆表示转折：but, yet, however, nevertheless, nonetheless, although等。

　　◆表示对比或选择：whereas, while, rather than, in contrast, on the contrary, on the other hand, or, whether... or, either... or, otherwise, instead of等。

　　◆表示原因：because, for, as, since, now (that)等。

　　◆表示结果或目的：so, therefore, hence, thus, consequently, accordingly, so... that, in order that, (so) that, lest等。

　　◆表示并列和递进：and, both... and, neither... nor, not only... but also, as well as, moreover, furthermore, besides, in addition等。

　　◆表示条件：if, unless, supposing (that), provided/providing (that), only if, in case (that), in the event (that), so/as long as, on condition that, assuming (that)等。

　　◆表示时间：when, while, as, whenever, after, before, since, till/until, not... until, as/so long as, as often as, hardly/scarcely... when, no sooner... than, once等。

　　【真题例证1】

　　feeling of being isolated and undervalued. I knew that I had a facility with

　　words and a power of facing unpleasant facts, and I felt that this created

　　a sort of private world in which I could get my own back for my failure in

　　everyday life. Therefore, the volume of serious—i.e. seriously intended

　　—writing which I produced all through my childhood and boyhood would

　　not amount to half a dozen pages. I wrote my first poem at the age of five,

　　my mother taking it down to dictation.

　　分析：前面一句说到“我具有文学方面的天赋和面对现实的能力……”，本句则说“我早年正式的文学创作加起来也不过寥寥数页”，前面的有天赋与本句的作品少形成对比，句间的逻辑关系应为转折，故要把表因果的Therefore改为表转折的Nevertheless或However。

　　【真题例证2】

　　between school lore and nursery lore. In nursery lore a verse, learnt

　　in early childhood, is not usually passed on again when the little listener

　　has grown up, and has children of his own, or even grandchildren.

　　分析：这句话说，小听众长大有了孩子或孙子时，一般不会把学龄前学到的儿歌传给别人听。这不合常理，应把when改成until，用not... until结构表示“直到……才……”之义，说明他们要到长大成人才会把小时候学到的儿歌传下去。

　　【真题例证3】

　　The period between learning a nursery rhyme and transmitting

　　it may be anything from twenty to seventy years. With the playground

　　lore, therefore, a rhyme may be excitedly passed on within the very hour

　　it is learnt; and, in general, it passes between children of the

　　same age, or nearly so, since it is uncommon for the difference in age

　　between playmates to be more than five years. ...

　　分析：上文提到学龄前儿歌的传播时间可能要20至70年，这一句讲述在游乐场里学的儿歌只要几小时就能传播开来。两句之间不存在因果关系，而是转折对比关系，因此要把therefore改成表转折意义的however。

　　【真题例证4】

　　concrete transmission form. We take for granted the two most

　　common forms of transmission—by means of sounds produced by our

　　vocal organs (speech) or by visual signs (writing). And these are

　　among the most striking of human achievements.

　　分析：本句说，这二者（语音、文字）是人类杰出的成就；而前一句说，我们往往把这二者视为理所当然。这两句话之间是转折关系，所以要把And改成表示转折的连接副词Yet或But。

　　【真题例证5】

　　as later decades. Since the United States maintained its dubious

　　distinction of having the highest divorce rate in the world,

　　the temporary decline in divorce did not occur to the same extent

　　in Europe. ...

　　分析：此处前后两个分句的含义分别是：“美国离婚率据称是世界第一”和“欧洲离婚率并未同样程度地出现下降”。二者并非因果关系，而是让步转折关系，所以应把Since改为Although。这句话意为：尽管美国号称世界上离婚率zui高，但在欧洲却并没有出现相同程度的暂时性的离婚率下降的情形。
